The only toughness you would have to question would be their mental toughness.

Unfortunately true. However I do think they're turning the corner towards a SC berth.

I'd prefer not seeing the Pens in the 1st round. Hope they move up to 3rd in the Metro or snag the 1st Wild Card and move over to the Atlantic for the playoffs.

My preference right now is the 1st wildcard spot, and to face Florida. But I can't say I fear the Caps in a series, as suicidal as that sounds on paper. I fear the Rangers and Boston a lot more than your team.

Ovi/Sid playoff series are magical to watch... I can't say I would be disappointed if we got the Caps just because of that matchup.

Eastern Conference Finals berth for the Penguins at BEST!!! they still need to shed the dead weight and get a "Downie TYPE" player that doesn't set up residence in the sin bin.

The teams in the East that trouble me are the Rangers, Penguins and Lightning. Not saying the Caps couldn't lose to Detroit/Boston/Florida/Isles, but I'd feel much more comfortable with those matchups. My dream is Philly sneaking into that last wild card spot.

I think the overjoyous SPITE a large chunk of the Penguin's fan base would have and love by facing the Panthers, and ending Jagr's most likely last playoff run... would be more magical.

As long as Detroit gets swept I don't care what else happens. Just want to see great hockey.

7-1 in regards to what? I have too many job related numbers in my head to figure out whatcha mean.

This is a different team. No more whining or embellishing, they bust their ass....a finals appearance and possibly a Cup wouldn't surprise me.

I am of the belief that eventually the half robot parts in him will break down soon after this year, and he will suddenly look like Rob Scuderi.

Oh, I'm ok with it as a 2nd round or Conference final matchup - to catch the Pens in the 1st round is little reward for this great regular season. I look out West and see Minnesota/Colorado/Nashville as the potential Wild Cards - I view those as virtual walk-over 1st rounders. Not sure the East has a single easy out (I understand that the West is more top-heavy, though).
